we're stepping down in april. thats almost unbelieveable. i mean, can you believe it ? we've been in band for three full years. dawn wach and i were sitting at the interchange, chit chatting away. the thing is, i wouldnt even be sitting there with dawn and wach had it not been for band. i would probably be agreeing with the others about how dawn is a gentle and softspoken girl instead of exclaiming with disbelief. like, ' why the hell do you get that idea. dawn is actually someone who does stupid things, crack lousy jokes which will trigger laughter. either the joke is really funny and you laugh or its so lousy that you have to stare at her and wonder what made her say that. then laugh cos you're feeling helpless and silly, thinking, whys she my friend ? and. its usually the latter, people. (i have no idea why. must be her face) ahas! and maybe ignorantly listen to the rumours of wach liking whoever, instead of helping her clear the air.
please, i dont know what im driving at. but we all know, really we do,(right?haha) no matter how tough band had been, or the many times we've complained about it, we still love band and given a choice, we may not want to step down. be fair, when thinking of the incessant scoldings, think of the fun band has given us. i foreseee many of us sec fours and fives crying on AGM, like any other batches. because its on that day that we realise we're officially not in band anymore. no more the routine of going to the band room after school on mondays wednesdays and fridays. no more sense of belonging to the band, and to your section.
cos afterall, we've officially graduated. (no! not yet la ! please read !) i will miss walking to the band store, putting my bag in my section's cupboard, taking my instrument blah blah blah.rmb when we were in sec one, we were helpless and not sure where to go. im familiar now and am pleased with the sense of superiority. dont strip me of that ! imagine going to a Jc or Poly where i'll be called a freshie. -.- (nice music, just the right one for this entry.)
so what i really want to say is. please treasure the times you have in this band. its a family unlike anything else.
i realise im starting to sound like......
gracia! hahaha. so enough, before i get pooh-ed at.
the teachers are backsides la. everybody else is talking, why must they pick on me ! dont tell me they are picking on someone their size. btw they, are miss tan and miss kok. you know, small and scrawny. one looks like a church mouse, the other, a cat ? a cat from those cheena cartoons with exaggerated whiskers, to be exact.
duh.
